30 amp breaker is the correct breaker for the device you can only load a breaker to 80% of its raiting. Source is im a journeyman electrician in canada.

A breaker's purpose is to protect the wiring inside of the walls. That's it. It doesn't protect idiots from causing a fire using 16 gauge extension cords on a 30 amp breaker

Our house has terrible wiring fire risk. The gfci outlet stopped working. The reason was someone before us had replaced the outlet and they had spliced aluminium wiring to copper wiring with wire nuts. The plastic wire nut connections had started melting over the years, there was even evidence it had caught fire at some point. finaly the connection gave up causing the outlet failure. I just redid it using a receptacle designed for aluminium wiring and no issues.

That metal clad wiring is nothing like what is used in the UK. Here it would be armoured cable with special glands which is much more work to install.

Aeroscience Acum 3 luni
1:16 That's not how global warming works at all, I'm honestly kind of surprised you said that... do you not know the basics? It's not a heaters literally heating the air that causes it to contribute to climate change, it is the fact that it is powered by emission of co2 from what would otherwise have been a stable carbon sink (fossil fuels). This is true weather the heater is gas powered or electric running of a gas powered grid. Now if you're breaker is powered off a nuclear plant or similar, then that's a different story.

Breakers aren't truly rated for long term maximum amperage they are rated for 80% continuous load so basically 16amps for 20 Amp breaker so your breaker isn't rated for continuous max settings of your heater it will trip eventually or degrade the breaker with constant heat output generated along the wire due to resistance but it might be ok as you don't plan on having the heater on all the time and probably on for a max of a few hours every once in awhile so it might be fine just wanted to point that out to you also its dependent on the breaker specs I didn't get to study them in your last video to the full extent so it's unclear if they are 100% continuous rated or 80% continuous rated

Mehdi, if you are looking to install solar panels, I highly suggest to you APsystems microinverters with your solar panels. APsystems microinverters have an independent MPPT tracker for every solar panel and they have their Quad QS1 microinverter which is very cost effective and very reliable. Therefore you will be able to capture the most energy from your roof. For solar panels, highly recommend LG or Canadian Solar panels. Trust me, I have 12 years of experience in the solar industry. If you need any help, just contact me and I will be very happy to help you.

Oh my, and i was thinking that everybody around the world were using DIN standards. Why do use rigid conductors and NEMA breakers/systems there ? Here in Brazil, every single installation using NEMA breakers/systems are being replaced for DIN /flexible conductors. Here we see a house with rigid conductors and say "thats freakin' old! Time to replace to DIN" hahaha!

You calculated the size of your breaker incorrectly. The size of the breaker should be in line with maximum capacity of the cables as mcbs are there to protect the cables and the RCD is to protec you. I. E cable can has a max of 22a use a 20a it will trip before the cable is damaged. Ha finally putting my electrical nvq into use!!

It is amazing that each country has different standard of what is important and in each country there are a lot of people saying that it is SO important that their standard code is followed, otherwise everyone will certainly die. And the people saying the code is important usually have no clue of the real reasons for them.

If the rating is 50Amps, then you have (NO ISSUES) as what is to be "RATED" is the wire that feeds it and the breaker which was correct. The fact the actual receptacle can take 50amps+ just means at a 30amp breaker "POP" situation, the outlet is nowhere near the damage rating point of 50+amps it is rated to. I think you have a bunch of people not reading the NEC codes correctly. Just because a receptacle is rated at "X 30 AMPS" doesn't mean you have to use "X 30 AMPS" if you already have or can insert "Y" 50 AMPS which can handle even more amperage. The main thing is the feed wire rating and breaker amperage rating is rated for whatever is plugged into said receptacle.. The receptacle is again, along for the ride just like the wire. For instance... If you wished to run a 6ga wire to your heater rated at 50amps-60amps instead of the 10ga wire you did run, yes the "WIRE" at 6-2 or 6-3 is rated for 60amp (MAX) breaker, by using the 30 amp breaker instead just means the wire can handle the load of the 30amp thus is (PERFECTLY FINE) and can easily handle the load, overkill yes, but perfectly fine with "CODE" again because you have a breaker rated at wire specs or "more", it's your breaker amperage mated to the appliance you wish to protect. The wire just needs to be able to handle the "AMPERAGE" said appliance pulls, and is along for the ride just like the receptacle.

Buying any products from the store has a good chance of contributing to global warming. You give the people who use the factories that produce CO2 to produce the product money which stimulates them to make more. Shut up
